The re-spray of a 1968 Snapdragon 26 "Muflier"

We recently sprayed the topsides and superstructure of "Muflier", built by the current owners father the the late 60's.  She is a fine example, by the gelcoat was suffering due to age.   We carefully sanded back the gelcoat, filled, faired and addressed a few stress cracks before applying Awlgrip 2000 paint.  The results are lovely as you see below.

The re-spray of "Rowan Flower"

We recently undertook the refurbishment of a Macwester Rowan 22.  Built in the late sixties or early seventies she was well maintained but suffering from the effects of weather and normal use over many years.  She had also been previously hand painted.

We were asked by her owner to prepare and re-spray her hull topsides and her superstructure including cockpit and rudder.

Firstly we lowered the mast and brought her into our workshop.  We then removed the rubber rubbing strake.  Next we completely sanded the topsides and superstructure.  Then we ground and filled several small areas of stress cracking before masking up the pushpit, pulpit, windows and deck fittings.

We applied 3 coats of International Perfection undercoat, spot filled and sanded the undercoat back.

Then we applied 3 coats of International Perfection Mediterranean White.   Once the paint had cured we moved on to the decks.   The non-slip areas were masked up and painted with Grey International Deck Paint (2 coats).

We then removed the deck masking and prepared her to come out of our sheds - ready for launching!
