Wooden Boat Repairs & Refurbishing

Tollesbury Marina have many years experience of traditional boat repairs.     We have skilled shipwrights on hand to carry out a wide range of repairs from re-caulking to re-planking.

For example in the Summer of 2007 we carried out a restoration of the Laurent Giles designed "Sally", a 23ft Lymington L Class, rather similar to a scaled down Vertue.
"Sally" had a number of cracked ribs in the turn of the bilge under the engine and cockpit areas. 

She also required extensive re-caulking.  

The engine was taken out of the boat.   We carefully removed the old ribs and replaced with new, primed and painted.    The topsides were also sanded back, prmed and painted.   All of the varnish was carefully sanded and re-coated.
